Apple planning to launch three new iPhones in 2019 Apple Watchers Are Already Looking Toward the Next Next iPhones

Apple launched its newest iPhones back in September a year ago.

However, according to the aforementioned sources, one of the reasons for the move is that the planned smartphone (with an LCD panel) has been in the pipeline for quite some months now, and at this point of time, those plans can't be altered.

Apple was not immediately available for comment outside regular business hours.

Last week, Apple issued its first revenue warning in almost 12 years, citing poor Chinese demand, sending its shares down 10 percent, their biggest intra-day fall in six years.

However, it looks set to keep an LCD model in its iPhone lineup for now, with the WSJ noting that Apple's project planning has progressed to a point where major features, like the display, can not be easily changed.

Shares of the company was almost flat in premarket trading. Apple kept an LCD on its new model XR, which made the phone more affordable than its other late-2018 phones.

Apple shares plunged over 9 percent earlier this month as Wall Street was rattled by the Silicon Valley giant's shock revenue warning. He blamed a series of factors including its battery replacement program, which gave the iPhone users a less costlier alternative to purchasing costly iPhones, the souring trade ties between the United States and China, and the iPhone users upgrading their iPhones less frequently for the reduced sales forecast.

iPhone sales haven't been stellar lately, with people replacing their own batteries instead of upgrading and knocking billions off Apple's profit projections in the process.

He said the iPhone XR has, in fact, been the most popular iPhone "every single day" since it started shipping out to customers.

It is worth to mention that a week after the shock created by the announcement of a downward adjustment of its revenue forecast for the last quarter of 2018, we learn that Apple has made a decision to reduce by 10% the production of the new iPhones.
