Former president George W. Bush says the dog will go back into service to help veterans at Walter Reed National Military Center.
A heartbreaking photo was posted on the dog's social media account Sunday night showing him sleeping in front of the flag-draped casket of his late master, George H.W. Bush. His service dog, Sully, will be accompanying the former president, CNN reports.
To honor the former president, the global nonprofit Points of Light, founded by Bush, invited the public to celebrate Bush by giving a day of service in his memory.
George W. Bush gave eulogies for both Gerald Ford, who passed away in 2006, and Ronald Reagan, who died in 2004.
The Bushes will join other family at Joint Base Andrews for the afternoon arrival of the presidential aircraft carrying the casket, being called "Special Air Mission 41". He said it was going to be a tough week and he looked forward to it being over. Bush will lie in state in the Capitol starting Monday and a service will be held at the Washington National Cathedral later in the week. The public can pay their respects to the 41st president from 5:30 p.m. MT Monday to 6:45 a.m. MT Wednesday.

Once Mr. Bush's body leaves D.C., there will be a memorial at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston, where his late wife, Barbara, was memorialized earlier this year.
Some of the agents will also act as honorary pallbearers in Texas at the funeral home and Ellington Field, where Bush will begin his final flight back to Washington, DC.
