U.S. President Donald Trump said he might not return CNN reporter Jim Acosta's pass to get into the White House and that other journalists may lose their credentials as well, after he argued with Acosta at a post-election news conference on Wednesday. Jimmy Kimmel said that Sanders "should be forced to resign" for what she did.

The interaction between Acosta and the intern was brief, and Acosta appeared to brush her arm as she reached for the microphone and he tried to hold onto it. "Pardon me, ma'am", he told her.

After CNN reporter Jim Acosta forcefully blocked a White House intern doing her job of taking away his microphone after a nasty spat with the president, the media have mostly defended him.

The heated exchange began after Acosta clung to the microphone and persisted with questions about the president's repeated and angry denunciation of a caravan of poor Central American migrants making their way through Mexico to the United States border. Then Trump, visibly angry, forcefully pointed at Acosta and demanded, "That's enough, that's enough".

Sanders said that Acosta "plac [ed] his hands" on the young woman.

Trump's Press Secretary put out a video, which appears to be edited and sped up to show a chopping motion which doesn't seem to happen in the original video. "You have to treat the White House with respect, you have to treat the presidency with respect". "You are a rude, bad person", Trump added. "You are a rude, awful person, you shouldn't be working for CNN", Trump said.

"You run CNN. And if you did it well, your ratings will be much higher". "You shouldn't be working for CNN".

Stop justifying rights abuses, Amnesty tells Nigerian, US govts
The Nigerian army cited comments by US President Donald Trump to justify opening fire on Shia protesters earlier this week. When a reporter asked him about this, the president said the USA military should "consider it a rifle".

Commenting on his revoked pass on CNN, Acosta said he does think the USA government is "trying to shut us down". Trump added, "The way you treat Sarah Huckabee is awful".

Acosta, in a statement, denied Sanders' statement and said he and CNN "won't back down" after the ban.

Waving his finger, Trump berated him.

"I think Jim Acosta is a very unprofessional man-he does this with everybody".

"I'm not a big fan of yours, either", Trump replied. "That's not doctoring", Trump said, also telling the press, "Nobody manipulated it, give me a break".

"It was done in retaliation for his challenging questions at today's press conference", CNN said Wednesday in a tweeted statement.
