Israelsaid Tuesday it would slap high taxes on vacation rental company Airbnb and encourage legal steps against the site over its decision to ban listings from West Bank settlements.
She advertises her rental on Airbnb as an "escape from daily tumult" in Israel, and doesn't mention that the property, complete with a Jacuzzi and desert views, is located in the West Bank.
An Airbnb spokesman said the decision, affecting some 200 listings, would take effect in the days ahead.
The company has previously said: "We follow laws and regulations on where we can do business and investigate concerns raised about specific listings", adding that U.S. law allows it to do business in the settlements.
Airbnb operates in over 190 countries, but their site states that as they are required to comply with global regulations, they do not operate in various countries and jurisdictions.

Strategic affairs minister Gilad Erdan, who oversees Israel's battle against a Palestinian-led boycott movement, called on Airbnb hosts affected by the decision to file lawsuits in accordance with Israel's anti-boycott law.
He said that "national conflict exist throughout the world and Airbnb will need to explain why they chose a racist political stance against some Israeli citizens".
Israeli leaders slammed the decision and called on Airbnb to reverse it. In similar previous cases, boycotts have constituted companies, performing artists, or others refusing to engage in business anywhere in Israel.
