Saudi Arabia said information provided by Turkey helped the Kingdom reveal the truth about Khashoggi's murder.

"It's ridiculous to believe 18 people would go to Turkey to kill Mr. Khashoggi and nobody in the government know about it", he said.

Riyadh on Saturday admitted after days of denials that dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed inside its consulate in Istanbul earlier this month, allegedly after a quarrel and a brawl with unidentified men.

That version differs from the account of Saudi Arabia, which said early Saturday that the writer died in a "fistfight".

The kingdom also said that five top Saudi intelligence officials had been fired and 18 others arrested as a result of its investigation into the matter.

In a sign of growing pressure on Saudi Arabia, Turkey said it will announce details of its investigation into the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi on Tuesday and USA congressional leaders said the Gulf kingdom - in particular its crown prince - should face severe consequences for the death of the writer in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Speaking after a campaign rally in Nevada, Mr Trump said he will be talking to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman soon. "And I think we're inching our way there". "That is not the focus of my trip". "We are not going to throw our hands in the air and terminate our relationship with Saudi Arabia, not just because of the huge number of British jobs that depend on it but also because if you exert influence over your partners you need to be able to talk to them", the minister said.

That incentive will be cut in half for the first six months of 2019, and then gets halved again for the following six months. So, if you do go with that option, your sweet Federal Tax credit is going to be diminished.

Even allies of Saudi Arabia have criticised its account.

Asked if he agreed that UK arms sales to the kingdom should be suspended, Mr Williamson said: "We are very fortunate in Great Britain that we have the very highest standards of any western nation in terms of defence exports, and it is always something that is constantly kept under review".

Responding to a question, the U.S. president indicated that he would let the Congressmen take lead on the issue of particularly determining the action that needs to be taken against Saudi Arabia.

McKinsey said in a statement that it was "horrified" by the possibility its report was used to target individuals and that it was not prepared for any government entity.

Global outrage over Khashoggi's October 2 slaying at the hands of Saudi officials, under still-disputed circumstances, has marked the greatest crisis in the 33-year-old's rapid rise, already tarnished by a catastrophic war in Yemen and a sweeping roundup of Saudi businessmen and activists.

Mr Al-Jubeir echoed President Donald Trump's warnings against rushing to judgment against Saudi leaders, saying "there is the presumption of innocence until proven guilty", and that some have "turned that upside down".

The king also ordered a restructuring of the intelligence service, to be led by Prince Mohammed, suggesting the prince still retained wide-ranging authority.
