The face of Nike's newest advertising campaign, a 30-year anniversary celebration of the brand's famous "Just Do It" tagline, Kaepernick was featured in a two-minute TV spot aired during the first break of the third quarter in the opening night game.

"It's a handsome spot", he said after the second round of the BMW Championship on Friday, via ESPN.

Or, perhaps, maybe they just thought supporting the head of a campaign to stop police killings of unarmed Black people was a good idea. "It's a lovely spot and pretty powerful people (are) in the spot".

The controversial Kaepernick Nike ad aired Thursday during the kickoff game for the 2018 season, and will air during other games for the rest of the season. He also said Nike didn't tell him the ad was coming.

Woods has been endorsed by Nike his whole career.

Beat Nadal? -- 'I'm not sure,' says Thiem
But he had battled through two five-set clashes to make the last four and had no answer to Thiem, who won 7-5 6-2 7-6 (7/2). Nadal holds a 7 to 3 advantage, though Thiem did beat Nadal earlier this year at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 in Madrid.

Kaepernick grabbed national headlines when he kneeled during the National Anthem during the 2016 preseason in protest of police brutality and social injustice. And right now, Nike, thanks to the ad, is a symbol for Kaepernick's social justice cause.

A Missouri college has dropped Nike gear from their athletic teams over the company's decision to use Colin Kaepernick in their new advertising campaign. "If Nike is ashamed of America, we are ashamed of them". Nike's stock did, in fact, take a hit following the release of the first Kaepernick ad.

The deal spurred debate among fans, with some urging a boycott of the Beaverton, Oregon-based company and others burning their Nike clothing.

"Stay that way", Kaepernick said in his voice-over, before appearing on-screen toward the end of the ad. "I think that's the problem".

Additional appearances are made by emerging professional athletes and world champions alike: Canadian soccer star Alphonso Davies; Hawaiian big wave surfer Kai Lenny; American skateboarders Lacey Baker and Nyjah Huston; German champion boxer Zeina Nassar; and U.S. Soccer's Women's National Team. I don't know. What I do know is, he gained popularity and magazine covers he likely wouldn't have gotten without getting on his knees or as you say, "believing in something". It named executives including founder Phil Knight, Chief Executive Mark Parker and board member Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, as defendants, noting they "repeatedly turned a blind eye to the longstanding culture of harassment and discrimination at Nike".
