Chelsea after Wilfried Zaha

Tottenham have pulled out of the race for Wilfried Zaha after Crystal Palace demanded £75million for the winger.

The Chelsea power brokers will decide whether or not to pursue an 11th-hour move for Zaha.

According to the same story, Palace haven't received an offer that has come close to matching their asking price in the 2018 summer transfer window.

Zaha is settled in London after leaving Palace in 2013 for an ill-fated spell at Old Trafford that saw him spend much of the next two seasons out on loan. To add to it, Brazilian winger Willian is also a subject of interest for Manchester United, which has further increased Chelsea's need to strengthen in the wide areas.

Zaha was Palace's star player in the 2017-18 season, as he played a pivotal part in helping Roy Hodgson's men survive the Premier League relegation battle.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi signs new long-term contract
Iwobi recently revealed that he had been about to leave the club thrice, but new manager Unai Emery seems to believe in him too. His willingness to ask for the ball and make progressive runs and passes has boded well with the system they are playing in.

The 25-year-old Ivory Coast global bagged nine goals and three assists last term, despite missing five weeks of the season injured.

Today, Chelsea are favourites to sign Wilfried Zaha...

Zaha, who signed a £100,000-a-week new deal at Selhurst Park just over a year ago, has rejected Palace's offer of a new contract boosting his pay packet by another £25,000-a-week.

Fresh off the back of a Community Shield defeat to Manchester City at Wembley and a pre-season penalty shoot-out defeat to Arsenal, Maurizio Sarri is conducting crunch transfer talks today to bring in fresh faces ahead of the deadline on Thursday.
