PM VISIT: India, Sweden agree on innovation partnership

Prime MinisterNarendra Modi appreciated the hospitality of Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven and also. In his pre-departure speech, PM Modi wrote, "I will be focusing on enhancing India-UK partnership in the areas healthcare, innovation, digitization, electric mobility, clean energy, and cyber security".

"They have huge planning and building work in front of them which they want to do in a climate smart way, and in that we have a very clear area of cooperation", Löfven commented.
Following the summit, Modi and Lofven participated in a round table with Swedish CEOs during which the CEOs were exhorted to invest in India and participate in the country's flagship initiatives, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Ravessh Kumar said in a tweet. The theme of the talks today, he said, was how Sweden could make the most of India's development and form a win-win relationship with the country.
The two sides made a decision to explore the finalisation of a bilateral agreement on exchange and mutual protection of classified information for cooperation in defence.
