Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu coupled praise for USA -led strikes on Syrian targets on Saturday with a warning that Iran's presence there further endangers Syria.

"Israel maintains full freedom of action on its borders we will not comprise on less than this", Education Minister and security cabinet member Naftali Bennett said Sunday on Israeli radio. The Douma attack killed over 40 people, with hundreds wounded by exposure to chemical agents. "Israel's support remains unchanged", Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu said that it should be "clear to Syrian President Bashar-al Assad that his irresponsible efforts to obtain weapons of mass destruction and its use. and his willingness to allow Iran and its proxies to entrench themselves in Syria" put the country in danger.

Lebanon's Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah early in the day said that Israel had made a "historic blunder" using all the attack.

The official went on to say that Syria's "murderous actions" jeopardize the country's territory, forces and leadership.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, in addition to several other high-ranking Israeli officials, expressed approval of the allied strike on Syrian targets following the most recent chemical attack in the war torn nation.
