A former Trump Tower doorman was paid $30,000 by American Media Inc. for the exclusive rights to a rumor that the president had a child with an employee in the 1980s, the publisher has said, prompting fresh claims that it employed a "catch and kill" tactic to aid Trump's presidential campaign.

Sajudin's story alleged that Trump impregnated a female employee at Trump World Tower, his skyscraper near the United Nations. Dino's contract with the company reportedly included a million-dollar penalty if he came forward with any information about Trump without permission from AMI.

The Enquirer endorsed Trump's campaign, and the AP notes the tabloid published articles claiming Trump opponent Hillary Clinton was a bisexual "secret sex freak" and survived on a "narcotics cocktail".

Meanwhile, the unnamed woman, who is said to have had a child with Trump, also denied the rumors and said that she has never had an affair with Trump. And while I understand the temptation to find out who this mysterious Trump offspring might be, and to learn absolutely everything about who this person is, what their life is like and what contact they've had with their extraordinarily famous father, I have a plea for all of us: Resist that temptation at all costs. "These claims are reckless, unsubstantiated, and false", according to the statement.

The ex-wife of former Trump Tower doorman Dino Sajudin called him a "pathological liar".

Dylan Howard, the Enquirer's top editor and an AMI executive, said he decided the story "lacked any credibility" and decided not to run it. Both the Associated Press and the New Yorker reported the payment Thursday.

Former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal, who allegedly carried on an affair with Trump in 2006 around the same time as his alleged tryst with Stormy Daniels, was likewise paid $150,000 by A.M.I. for the rights to her story, which never ran, and she is now suing to break her silence.

Suspected chemical attack: global monitor to send fact-finding team to Syria
France has previously warned it would respond with strikes on Syrian government forces, if evidence of chemical attacks was found. UN Security Council failed to adopt a Russian-drafted resolution on inquiry into chemical weapons use in Syria on Tuesday.

The New Yorker cited a source close to the White House insisting that Trump "did not have an affair".

The FBI reportedly sought documents related to that payment earlier this week when agents raided Cohen's office.

Farrow added that with the "doorman" payoff reporting following in the heels of the McDougal and Daniels payoffs, "this establishes a pattern now".

Common Cause, a government watchdog, said it filed complaints Thursday with the Department of Justice and the Federal Election Commission claiming that Trump and American Media violated campaign contribution rules in the $30,000 payment to Sajudin.

Sajudin, in a brief interview with The News outside his home in the Poconos, said he was struggling to deal with the sudden attention.

The New Yorker and the AP said they were not able to confirm the facts behind the rumor, and that members of the family involved in the story denied it to the two outlets. Her mother did not respond to repeated requests for comment.

The AMI sources New Yorker reporter Ronan Farrow spoke to didn't believe that the rumor was true while investigating it, but they were taken aback by what they believed was a concerted effort to cover it up. "This is all fake", she said.
