Trump says he 'may' attend Jerusalem embassy opening

Police question Netanyahus under caution in graft case Israeli police grill prime minister at home in yet another investigation

Hours before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was set to meet US President Donald Trump at the White House on Monday, a third Netanyahu confidant turned state's witness in the corruption investigations into the Israeli leader and his inner circle.

For his part, Netanyahu praised Trump for his Jerusalem decision: "Mr. President, this will be remembered by our people, throughout the ages".

Netanyahu left for Washington on Sunday to meet Trump who declared Jerusalem al-Quds as the so-called capital of Israel in December and announced plans to relocate the U.S. embassy to the occupied holy city.

At the same time, the meeting comes just after the United States announced it will open its embassy in Jerusalem in May to coincide with Israel's 70th anniversary celebrations.

"I think they are partners in ideology, and the ideology is a populist, conservative ideology which says that the old liberal elites are against us", said Gayil Talshir, a political scientist at Jerusalem's Hebrew University.

Palestinian Authority Leader Mahmoud Abbas has said he will not accept a peace agreement brokered by Trump.

In his encounters with Trump and at the AIPAC conference, he was expected to focus mainly on Iran as Israel's greatest enemy, and one he says seeks a permanent military presence in neighboring Syria.

The prime minister also described Iran as the biggest challenge facing Israel and the Middle East.

Kerryon Johnson from Auburn was a notable running back to sit out the 40-yard dash, but again participated in other drills. The poor performances did not stop there, he ran a ploddingly slow 5.86 secs in the 40-yard dash, per NFL .com.

"We'll have it built very quickly", Trump said.

"Iran has not given up its nuclear ambitions", he said.

"It's practicing aggression everywhere, including on our own borders", Netanyahu told Trump. White House officials said it was unlikely those issues would arise during talks with Trump.

Trump said he believed the Palestinians are "wanting to come back to the table very badly" - but did not expand on that claim. "We have to stop this country that chants 'death to Israel, death to America, '" he said. "That is our common challenge". "We're looking at coming".

Trump's December 6 Jerusalem declaration outraged Palestinians and broke with decades of worldwide consensus that the disputed city's status must be negotiated between the two sides. But in at least one big way, the uncertainty and strife at the White House intersected with Netanyahu's visit: a central United States interlocutor on Middle East peace, senior adviser Jared Kushner, has had his access to top-secret information yanked amid a crackdown on interim security clearances.

The Trump administration has no plans to use Netanyahu's visit to roll out peace proposals Kushner's team is crafting, a second U.S. official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Trump also said his administration is working "very hard" on a peace deal, but acknowledged potential problems. Kostelitz said today, "I don't represent state's witnesses".
