Tiger Woods may only be three starts into his PGA Tour return but some experts feel the former world number one has shown he still has what it takes to make a meteoric rise up the rankings.

Woods also said he would play the following week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, a tournament he has won eight times, most recently as part of his five-victory season in 2013.

This will be the first time Woods, working his way back after a fourth back surgery, has played in the PGA Tour's annual stop in Pinellas County, though he played at Innisbrook when the course hosted the JCPenney Classic, a mixed-team event, in the 1990s.

Tiger Woods announced Friday morning that he is committed to play in next week's Valspar Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill later this month.

Woods is an eight-time victor at Bay Hill, where he has not played since he won in 2013. His options were limited for pre-Masters prep as he wasn't eligible for this week's WGC-Mexico Championship or the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in late March.

Tiger Woods is adding another tournament to his schedule on his road to the Masters.
