A video of the freaky incident at Mokai in South Beach was posted on social media and caused both an assortment of horse puns and serious concerns about animal cruelty and safety hazards for clubgoers. The animal suddenly drops to the ground, throwing the woman off.

A man pulled the scared horse out of the club.

Police are investigating a video that surfaced of a woman riding a horse inside of a Miami Beach nightclub.

"I was disgusted and offended that any legitimate businessperson would think this was an appropriate action to take", Morales told WPLG-TV. It's animal cruelty! I couldn't believe what happened there!

'We are very concerned over the allegations.

"We're looking at it from a city perspective in terms of licensing", Miami Beach Police Officer Ernesto Rodriguez said, according to local news outlet WSVN-TV.

Animal activists and social media users alike have been publicly shaming the club all day, even leaving pages and pages of negative reviews on Mokai's Yelp.

It's not clear whether having a live horse in a nightclub would violate Miami Beach code, but it's common sense that horses are easily spooked by loud noises and unfamiliar settings.

"What kind of idiot would do something like to this to an animal?" said Miami Beach mayor Dan Gelber at a press conference earlier today.

While the city is keeping tightlipped about where the horse is now and who owns it, they have launched a full scale investigation and don't seem to be taking this matter lightly.

A second set of pictures show another woman riding a white horse at another South Beach club, Kiki on the River.
