On Tuesday, President Trump traveled to San Diego to inspect border wall prototypes.

After viewing the wall prototypes in an area of the border heavily cordoned off and far from the rallies on the United States side, Trump was then expected to address Marines in San Diego before attending a high-dollar fundraiser in Los Angeles, where he'll stay overnight.

His first stop was Otay Mesa, where the president's focus was on the border wall.

"I think Gov. Brown has done a very poor job running California", Trump said.

"California's sanctuary policies put the entire nation at risk", Trump said.

He further slammed the Democrat for immigration and tax policy adding that while he thought Brown was a "nice guy" but "has not done the job".

Said Trump: "If you didn't have walls over here you wouldn't even have a country".

"If you didn't have a wall system it would be bedlam I imagine".

"And if you don't [have] safety, meaning if you don't have this kind of wall, the drugs are pouring through in California, can't do it", he said.

"We'll see what happens, but we obviously have to have a couple of disagreements before we get there", he said.

"He's coming to a place that he hasn't visited as president, where he is massively unpopular, where he lost by 4m votes in the election and a place where he faces huge resistance".

"While California may not have - he may not have won that state, there is certainly a lot of support for this president, not just there but across the country", she said.

"We know the Trump administration is full of liars".

U.S. tariffs raise risk Canada will fall prey to foreign steel dumping
Malmstroem said she told Lighthizer that "the European Union must be excluded" from tariffs because it is a close US ally. Trudeau also took Canada's case to US cable channels on Monday with appearances on MSNBC and CNN.

Trump appeared engaged as he was briefed on eight towering prototypes, including one with blue steel on top.

The president then headed to Miramar where he addressed members of the military.

The president's speech went on to touch on human trafficking, calling it "the worst that it's ever been", and "sanctuary city" policies.

Protests were held on the Mexican side, too, in Tijuana.

He will likely spend the night at an as-yet unidentified hotel in downtown Los Angeles, where several streets have been closed off in preparation. "The criminals take refuge in these sanctuary cities".

The Trump administration is now at odds with the state over the issue of sanctuary cities.

- Jaime chambers (@jaimechambers) March 13, 2018A small fracas broke out at pro-Trump rally in San Diego when a protester in a vehicle dropped a Mexican flag.

Benjamin Bryon Davis said "Pretty sure a 'see-through wall" is called a fence.

Trump is expected to spend the night in the Los Angeles area before heading to the St. Louis area on Wednesday. Thousands of unsafe & violent criminal aliens are released as a result of sanctuary policies, set free to prey on innocent Americans.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said a public warning from Oakland's mayor helped more than 800 people evade arrest.

FACTS: Construction of 14 miles (23 kilometers) of imposing border walls by the mid-2000s - along with more agents, technology and smaller barriers going back to the 1990s - brought a 95 percent decline in border arrests in the Border Patrol's San Diego sector from 1993 to 2017.
