President Trump "ready to apologise" for retweeting anti-Muslim videos

Donald Trump apologises for anti Muslim retweets. Well almost The anti Muslim videos tweeted by Britain First leader Jayda Fransen have been proven to be hoaxes

President Donald Trump said in a British television interview Friday that he was ready to apologize for retweeting anti-Muslim videos from a far-right British group, and he reiterated his assertions that he is not a racist.

He said: "If you are telling me they're horrible people, horrible, racist people, I would certainly apologise if you'd like me to do that". "I don't want to cause any difficulty for your country".

"I know nothing about David Duke", Trump said on CNN. "Certainly, I wasn't endorsing anybody", he added.

"It was a big story where you are", Trump told Morgan, "but it was not a big story where I am". "I donĀ“t want to be involved with people, but you're telling me about these people because I know nothing about these people".

Trump replied, "It was done because I am a big believer in fighting radical Islamic terror". Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, tweeted that "Britain First is a vile, hate-fuelled organisation whose views should be condemned, not amplified" and called on May to "cancel her ill-judged offer of a state visit to President Trump".

During the 2016 presidential race, Trump campaigned for "a total and complete shutdown" of Muslims entering the United States on the pretext of preventing terrorist attacks. When you do your own tweeting, or you do your own social media, it's fine.

A deputy since 2013, Gumm, 32, was killed in the line of duty answering a call in Thornton Wednesday night. Gumm was hit in the chest and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, the sheriff's office said.

The US president then went on to say he has a "very good relationship" with British Prime Minister Theresa May and praised her for doing "a very good job".

Trump even offered a reason as to why he shared the posts. "And so you're asking me a question that I'm supposed to be talking about people that I know nothing about".

President Trump just came as close as he maybe ever has to admitting a mistake and apologizing for his actions - and yet still somehow managed to fall short of an actual apology. "I know nothing about white supremacists".

Trump's official Twitter account retweeted a series of inflammatory anti-Muslim videos in November 2017. "I am a tremendous supporter of the United Kingdom".

"I don't care" about potential protesters, Trump told Morgan in the morning show interview. He had discussed Duke in multiple interviews over the years, calling him "a bigot, a racist, a problem".

The piece with, a known supporter of, is the president's first global television interview since taking office and will air on Sunday.
