Via MTL Blog, photos of the work done by Simon Laprise, a machinist in the city, were posted to Reddit of a auto made entirely of snow seemingly "parked" on the illegal side of a residential street.

In no time, a police officer approached the "vehicle", only to find upon a close inspection that the auto was all made of snow.

Laprise joked that the vehicle had been "towed to the snow depot" but added that it was destroyed when the roads were cleared.

According to CBS affiliate WGCL-TV, Simon Laprise sculpted a life-size model of a DeLorean DMC-12 in the middle of a local snow removal zone.

The snow removers, however, were not fooled by Laprise's creation. The final detail that made it so life-like was the Laprise's incorporation of an actual windshield, which he found across the street.

A Canadian man fooled the police by making a snow sculpture outside his home, now his photos of the trick have gone viral on Facebook.

The police apparently enjoyed the prank, writing in a ticket to Laprise in French that read, 'You made our evening'.

The 33-year-old machinist and artist thought he could pull a fast one on the cops, and he was right.

News of the auto and the police response quickly spread but it appears the snow sculpture was short lived as reports indicate the vehicle was destroyed by snow plows the next morning.
