Veteran Atlanta television news anchor Amanda Davis, whose achievements included launching a segment encouraging foster children adoptions and an in-depth series about her alcoholism, has died.
Davis had been with CBS 46, which is an affiliate station of Inside Edition, since January after retiring from Fox station WAGA in 2012 following a DUI-related arrest. She was taken to a hospital and underwent treatment but later died. "Her family is asking for privacy at this hard time", CBS 46 wrote online. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death.
Now Davis' friends, family and viewers have her very own words of wisdom to ease the pain as their mourning begins.
Davis graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clark Atlanta University.
