The two teams traded blows throughout a thrilling 90 minutes, but City claimed a 4-2 victory to book their place in the knockout stage.

Sergio Aguero has become Manchester City's all-time leading scorer thanks to his strike against Napoli on Wednesday evening.

Napoli started the better of the two teams and created the first significant chance on goal in the 13 minute when Dries Mertens broke through on goal, but he was thwarted by the City keeper.

It only took 20 minutes for Napoli to justify Guardiola's concern. The first shot of the match eventually came from Marek Hamsik in the sixth minute, although his effort was comfortable for Ederson.

A goal away to Bradford City in September 1938 moved Brook - capped 18 times by England - past Tommy Johnson's previous best mark of 166, but Aguero has surged to the top of the standings in double quick time.

Sony Releases an Amazing New Spider-Man Gameplay Trailer
It's a pretty exciting trailer, though the voice for Spider-Man seems to have changed from the E3 trailer but it's hard to say. The trailer also confirms the inclusion of Miles Morales , who was teased at the end of the E3 trailer for the game.

Everybody at City would like to congratulate Sergio and we will be celebrating this momentous Club achievement over the next few days.

Man City have been hammering home the goals this season, but while it's their attacking players who have grabbed most of the plaudits, two of their defenders shone in Naples as firstly Nicolas Otamendi cancelled out Lorenzo Insigne's opener, before John Stones put the visitors ahead in the second-half.

Five minutes into the second half Stones did find the back of the net for City when he met a corner-kick with a powerful header that beat the Napoli keeper, 2-1.

The Italian outfit did equalise just past the hour, however, when Jorginho scored from the penalty spot after Albiol had been brought to the ground by Sane inside the penalty box.
