SNL Compares Kellyanne Conway To Pennywise in IT Parody

SNL depicts Conway as 'IT' luring Anderson Cooper into the sewer Kate McKinnon plays Kellyanne Conway as sewer-dwelling 'It' clown in dark but hilarious SNL sketch
Melody Ballard | 16 October, 2017, 06:01

On "Saturday Night Live" on Saturday, the two worlds collided horrifically when Kate McKinnon played presidential advisor Kellyanne Conway - but transformed into "Kellywise", a strikingly familiar looking character who lives in the sewers.

"Hello, Coopy", says Kellywise, her insane smile smiling from underground. "I'll give you a insane, crazy quote". Down in the sewers, Pennywise-style, McKinnon's Conway tempts Anderson Cooper to put her on TV: "Don't you want a quote?"

Cooper then wakes up from a nightmare at his desk at the cable news network studio with McKinnon as Conway sitting beside him saying: "Thank you for booking me".

Cooper begs off, but Kellywise persists: 'I'll give you quote. "How about this: 'So, Puerto Rico actually was worse before Hurricane Maria, and the hurricane actually did blow some buildings back together, and I don't know why Elizabeth Warren won't tweet about that'".

"Ok So Secretary (of State Rex) Tillerson did not call the president a moron", Kellywise explains. "They were sharing a sundae and the president asked if he wanted more sprinkles and the secretary said he wanted more on", Conway says.

You know, just some Conway Classics, a.k.a.

Kellywise persists, offering the resistant Cooper another quote. Rachel Maddow also makes an appearance as someone already seduced by It's magic. "You'll float too, Anderson", she promises him.

After attempting to lure Cooper into the storm drain - first by promising to deliver some of her signature outlandish quotes, then by showing him his greatest fears (which are Trump being reelected and Cooper getting fat) - Conway vanishes, and Hillary Clinton steps out into the darkness of the storm drain.

An officer interrupts the exchange and tells Cooper to avoid talking to Kellywise because "every day she drags someone down into that sewer".
