Katy Perry was riding a little too high during her Nashville concert!

Katy Perry got stranded mid-air during a performance this week and needed to crowd-surf her way to safety after an apparent mechanical issue with her floating stage. "Thanks for teaching me how 2write (to write) a real song & sticking by me all these years".

'I'm gonna be stuck here forever!' she jokingly said, and soon after, the stage crew came out to bring her down manually.

"This thing is stuck right now, they're lowering me down - they're talking to me in my ear right now".

Fans took to social media to share footage of the event and were full of praise for how the 32-year-old singer handled the mishap.

She told Entertainment Tonight that being single allows her to balance her world tour with Idol. Should I tell some jokes, should I tell some stories?

"The planet-shaped platform was soon lowered enough that Perry was able to dive into the crowd, "I guess I" m just going to have to get down and walk amongst my people", she said before jumping from the platform. "Should I just like... jump?" At one moment, the prop got stuck and it wouldn;t bring her down anymore.

Just last week, Perry helped a gay couple get engaged on stage at the Barclay's Center on National Coming Out Day.
