Trials of the Nine was supposed to go live this week, and is intended as a replacement for Destiny 1's Trials of Osiris - a weekly PvP multiplayer event for high level players.
As far as what else is coming, according to the chart below, Nightfall Normal Mode, Nightfall Prestige Mode and Nightfall Guided Games will all be available at the same time as the game on October 24.
In Week 3, Destiny 2 players can try their hand at the ultra-challenging Prestige mode for the Leviathan raid beginning on November 7. Then at the end of the week, the uber-competitive player-versus-player Trials of the Nine, where you can earn even more powerful weapons and gear.
