United States citizens will soon be barred from traveling to North Korea, a move the Trump administration has made in the aftermath of the June death of Otto Warmbier.

Koryo Tours and Young Pioneer Tours said they had been informed that the USA will announce the ban on July 27 and it was expected to go into effect 30 days later.

There has been no official confirmation from the US.

The agency is the one that brought Otto Warmbier, a USA college student, to North Korea in 2016. Following the incident, Young Pioneer Tours said it would not accept USA nationals for North Korea tours.

Beijing-based Young Pioneers Tours had organized U.S. college student Otto Warmbier's trip to North Korea.

The travel ban will be introduced following the death about a month ago of American university student Otto Warmbier, who was released by North Korea in a coma after he was detained in January 2016 while on a tour.

The United States, South Korea's key ally, believes the time is not ripe for inter-Korean talks as there are no signs that the North is prepared to halt its nuclear and missile development programs. Three Americans remain in custody in the North.

Young Pioneer Tours, a company that arranges trips into North Korea, and the same outfit Warmbier used for his trip to the country, tweeted a statement early Friday acknowledging the upcoming restriction.
