When opening the mobile app, users are greeted with a search bar followed immediately by a personalized feed of recent news stories. Users have so much anxiety in their minds, after hearing the news of Google change over to the new home page.

This personal choice-based news streaming feature by Google is known as the Feed seems to grab the user's attention similar to the one seen on Facebook and Twitter. Although the focus will be on showing the user fresh content, Google will veer more towards the role of an article aggregator. Sure, we all have many things in common, but none of us has quite the same mix of passions, interests and goals as the next person. But the company is also aware that #social media giant Facebook's news feed is highly used, and this change to its homepage may help it compete in that arena.

You can access the feed by scrolling down on the Google app on Android and iOS, but it's only available to users in the U.S. right now.

Every search made through Google aids the feed's ability to best determine what the user is interested in reading. Today, we are announcing a new feed experience in the Google app, making it easier than ever to discover, explore and stay connected to what matters to you-even when you don't have a query in mind. Each stories will be provided with multiple options like dismissing it from your feed, or unfollowing the publisher or topic. The mobile app feed also contains things such as boarding passes and calendar events based on things taken from Gmail and Google calendar. You can refine this by either unfollowing a topic when it appears in your feed, or going into your Google app settings.

Sears Seeks Salvation Through Amazon With Alexa-Powered Kenmore Products
The company's stock has lost almost 95 percent of its value in the past decade, from a peak of $195.18 a share in 2007. Sears shares jumped almost 20% after the news, marking perhaps a glimmer of hope for the one-time appliance giant.

For certain terms, the cards which will surface will have fact-checked sources allowing the users to learn in-depth about the topics that they are interested in.

These algorithms know which of your interests you've cultivated for years, and which are passing phases.

Google is known for its sparse homepage, which, though mostly white space, has, according to analytics firm Alexa Internet, become the world's most-visited website. Just open the Google app and scroll up to get started.
