Fears that Andy Murray may not be 100% fit to defend his Wimbledon title were sparked on Tuesday (27 June) after the world number one withdrew from an exhibition match against Lucas Pouille at the Aspall Tennis Classic due to a sore hip.

Murray reached the semi-finals of the French Open before starting his grass-court campaign with a shock loss at Queen's Club.

Andy and Jamie Murray could seek to cap their glittering careers by teaming up to win a Wimbledon doubles title at some point in the future, according to their mother Judy.

A spokesperson for Murray said the world No 1, who starts his Wimbledon title defence next week, had pulled out as a precaution.
