Nats' Bryce Harper Throws Helmet, Punches in Memorial Day Brawl

Boston Red Sox pitcher David Price throws against the Chicago White Sox during the first inning of a baseball game against the Chicago White Sox Monday San Francisco Giants: three keys to beating the Nationals

I wasn't really going up there thinking that.

"I can see how that kind of stands in people's minds, but that's the past, " Strickland said.

Bryce Harper and Hunter Strickland, antagonists in the 2014 playoffs, were at the center of an ugly brawl in the eighth inning of the Washington Nationals-San Francisco Giants game Monday.

"There's not a man alive that's going to put up with you staring at him, if he's got any guts, and I know Bryce has a lot of guts", Knight said. Strickland is still caught up in the past (a past in which he became a World Series champion I might add), so if he can't even take the good that comes with the greatest achievement in the game, then my guess is that he's insufferable to be around when the team is losing like they have been this season.

It took three Giants players - George Kontos, Mac Williamson and Hunter Pence - to drag Strickland all the way off the field and into the dugout.

Today, Harper stepped in against his old nemesis Strickland with two out in the eighth and took a 98 miles per hour fastball off the front hip.

Bishop went on to defend Harper for "standing his ground" after being plunked, but remained critical of Strickland: " I have a problem with Strickland holding a grudge for three years, nearly three years. Harper then charged the mound and the two exchanged punches as the benches cleared. And not Buster Posey, who looked to want no part in coming to the defense of his pitcher. He said he wasn't thinking about that accident, but was concerned about injuries. "Those are some big guys tumbling on the ground. It'd be a little risky to get in there sometimes". His eyes were wide as he flung his helmet _ it sailed wide of Strickland, it might've slipped _ and they started swinging away. Harper watched the second shot sail down the line, in Game 4, and glared at the reliever as he rounded the bases.

Elliott Management says Barcelona meeting with BHP CEO was "constructive"
BHP had dismissed Elliott's previous proposal, saying the plan had major flaws and would not benefit shareholders. After the meeting, an Elliott spokesman said the meeting was private but constructive.

"It's go time", he said. "I'm not sure how all that goes". 'He didn't come up and in toward my face like some guys do, so I respect him on that level.' Strickland said he missed his spot.

"He chose to come out, that's what he made a decision to do".

"You absolutely have the right to protect yourself", Knight said.
